Car Talk: The Only Reason I Will Admit Listening to NPR
As far as I am concerned, Linda Wetheimer of NPR “All Things Considered” may have the sexiest voice the world has ever known. Also as far as I am concerned, she is a slender blond, about 25 with huge boobs, but these are the dreams that only radio can conjure out of one’s imagination. Since I was a kid I grew up listing to NPR’s “Talk of the Nation” , “Morning Edition” , and plenty of others. Listening to “All Things Considered” was a daily ritual that I would partake with my father and was one of the best parts of my day.
For over two decades “Click & Clack” (Tom & Ray Magliozzi) have been taking calls from listeners perplexed with car troubles. These two expert mechanics (only NPR could find an MIT schooled mechanic) try to solve the listeners’ car troubles over the phone while interjecting plenty of humor and their iconic laugh. After nearly 20 years of listening to them, I can attest they are actually right most of the time. For those who have never listened to the radio program, it will quickly become something that you won’t be able to miss.
