Paul Leonard Newman: January 26, 1925 - September 26, 2008
It won’t be easy to replace this movie actor, humanitarian, and auto racing enthusiast. He starred in some of the best guy movies of all time:
Cool Hand Luke (arguably one of the best movies of all time)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (arguably one of the best Westerns of all time)
The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean
Slap Shot (one of the best sports movies of all time - no argument)
Not to mention the fact that he has raised over $250 million to date with his Newman’s Own label for children with life threatening illnesses. And although I’m sure he rode in his fair share of limousines, he wasn’t afraid to get behind the wheel of a race car, placing second in the 1979 24 Hour Le Mans race and owning his own racing team throughout most of his life. May he rest in peace.
Be A Man.
