MOTM WINNER: JANUARY 2009

Now that the last month of Mantuarian Year XLII (a.k.a. January 2009) is behind us, I thought it was about time to announce the winner of last month’s Mantuary contest.  Although the winning submitter’s Mantuary looks like a great place to hang out - complete with flat screen TV, pool table, and bar - what really caught my eye were the beer taps coming out of the wall.  Congratulations to Jim from Atlanta for creating, in his own words:

“…the one room in the house where I can do what I want.  I wanted a look that reminded me of some of the hole in the wall bars I haunted in my earlier years.  Plenty of neon, tin beer signs, pool table, darts, car posters, a section of goalpost from a college football game, a big ass TV and most importantly beer taps coming out of the wall.  For some reason the guys in the neighborhood just show up on weekends uninvited to watch football.  Hope you like it because I sure as hell do.”
